You don't need to be moving house to use us. One heavy item, a store pickup, or furniture that needs to go from one room to another — if it involves heavy lifting, ask us.

Packing help
An extra crew for the part everyone dreads — rooms boxed up, fragile pieces wrapped, and furniture padded before it moves. We can pack the whole home or just the rooms you haven't got to yet.
Single items & store pickups
One couch, a fridge, a treadmill, or a Marketplace find that won't fit in your car — picked up, carried in, and put in place. Store pickups from IKEA and other furniture stores, too.

Picking up furniture from two places, dropping a couch at a relative's on the way, or clearing a room into storage on the same trip? List everything when you call or text — extra stops and items can usually be quoted together as one job, which is better value than separate trips.

You don't need to sort out a vehicle to book moving help with us. When you book a move through Handy Helpers, a truck can be included as part of the service — sized to the job, from a single item to a full home:

Before moving day
- Have boxes packed and labelled by room — or book packing help with the move and we'll handle that part.
- Tell us about access — stairs, elevators, long hallways, or tight doorways at either address, so the crew size and timing are right.
- Measure the big pieces — sofas, wardrobes, and appliances, plus the doors and hallways they'll pass through.
- Empty and unplug appliances — fridges and freezers emptied and defrosted ahead of time travel better.
- Set aside what stays — anything that isn't moving, clearly marked, so nothing goes that shouldn't.

- Get your quote — we confirm the price for the whole job before you book, including whether a truck is part of it.
- Moving day — the crew arrives, loads everything carefully, and at the new place it's all carried in and set where you want it.

How much does moving help cost?
It's priced by quote, because a single couch and a three-bedroom house aren't the same job. The price depends on how much is moving, the distance between the two places, and access like stairs or elevators. Tell us about the move and we'll confirm the price for the whole job before you book.
Can you bring a truck?
Yes — a truck can be included as part of the moving service. Tell us the size of the move when you call or text, and we'll confirm what's included in your quote. If you've already arranged your own vehicle, we can provide just the crew to load and unload it instead.
I have my own truck — can you just load and unload it?
Yes. Loading and unloading help is a regular booking: our crew loads your truck, trailer, or storage container carefully at one end and unloads it at the other — you do the driving, we do the lifting.
Can you move just one item?
Yes — a single heavy or awkward item is a normal booking: a couch, fridge, washer and dryer, treadmill, or a large piece of furniture bought from a store or online. We pick it up, carry it in, and put it in place.
Do you help with packing?
Yes — packing help can be booked on its own or as part of the move: rooms boxed up, fragile items wrapped, and furniture padded before it moves. Have your boxes and tape ready, or ask us when you book what to have on hand.
Can I send photos or a video with my quote request?
Yes — photos of the rooms, the big items, or the stairs and doorways at either address help us quote accurately and send the right crew. Choose "Photos," "Video," or "Photos and video" in the quote form below and we'll add a line to your text saying you have them to share. This form can't send files itself, so attach your photos or video in your messaging app before you hit send.
